It may be a mouthful (we know, it is) but it is also an important topic for ministries. With worldwide ministry fraud topping 80 billion dollars, it’s time we take financial integrity more seriously. This course will illuminate the issues of fraud in ministry, why fraud happens in churches, provide best practices that will significantly reduce the opportunity of fraud, and in turn, help build trust and credibility with your constituents.

Training Course

Building Trust & Credibility Through Financial Integrity course on November 14

Bring your whole finance team to the table with our organization pass for this online course on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.

It’s not too late to jump on the bandwagon of financial integrity and see how your ministry can avoid pitfalls when it comes to fraud in your ministry.

Fraud Week

We are hosting this course on International Fraud Week, and you know there was intention behind that decision. In 2023, fraud week occurs November 13th – 17th. And we want to do our part to spread awareness of the fact that fraud in ministry occurs, set you up for success to avoid problems you can, and give you next steps when you do find fraud.

  1. Take our assessment to see how fraud aware your ministry currently is.
  2. If you suspect fraud is already happening, start with this post under Fraud Prevention Resources.
  3. Check out the Fraud Triangle to learn more about how fraud can occur in ministries.

Building Trust With Your Community

Not only are we big proponents of taking precautionary measures when it comes to fraud, we are also big proponents when it comes to building trust in your community through your finances. After our extensive work with churches, we know that money follows stewardship, not the other way around.

Another way to become transparent with your constituents is by understanding your financial statements and passing relevant parts on to your donors. In our Reading and Understanding Fiancial Statements podcast series, our founder talked to a bank senior vice president who is a firm believer in outsourcing, traning people in financial matters, and this specific course.
