Non-Profits

There seems to be an increase right now in burnout for non-profit CEO’s due to a higher demand for services, coupled with maintaining the well being of themselves and their staff. Along with some other lesser, but still important, factors including legal challenges and reduction in staffing.

Plus, reports indicate that grants have been harder to secure and giving has been reduced, making financial decisions harder.

Churches

Churches on the other hand, have been seeing an increase in giving over the past two years, but non-profits have not seen that same growth. These gifts have been coming from individuals, while non-profit giving is more entity based.

But one of the things both churches and non-profits have in common is leader burnout.

According to the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA)’s annual giving report.
