Desk Accessories
School Supply shopping has to be our favorite “holiday” around here. Or when we get to un-box a shipment of office supplies from our favorite online retailer. 🙂 If that is you, too, then keep on scrolling.
Maybe those are not your favorite days, but you ARE looking for a fresh start for the new year, then these ideas may help you as well.
In this post we will cover a few of our favorite office supplies – you probably won’t be surprised which is our favorite. Also included are some ideas for items to add to your space; whether you are living that cubicle life, or actually get to see the sunshine.
Our Favorite Things
Some staff favorite items include specific writing utensils, a certain keyboard, the stapler that works just right, and – of course – the holy grail: Post-It Notes!
It may be evident that several of our staff love the analog paper and pen. Some even go as far to say they would be lost without their sticky note reminders. But you definitely need the pen that fits your needs and the correct binder clip to keep all your items secure.
Would it be too much to say that we really couldn’t be your partners in accounting without these things?!? We don’t think so.
Cute + Functional Decor
Whether you have an office with a view, or a cubicle with not so much of a view, we can all use some “sprucing up.” Including items that are personal or motivational in nature can help our brains be more positive, productive, and – let’s face it – even a better office-mate.
Just remember, you probably have other people near your desk, so be considerate {and appropriate} with the personal items you do bring in the office.

Plants
Here is a graphic of some of the best plants for indoor air quality, according to the study done by NASA. Trust us, once you calculate the number of hours you spend indoors, you will be adding a few of these little babies to your space as well.

This may be spiritual or motivational from your favorite author. Or just something you found inspiring while scrolling your preferred social media site. {Aren’t we are all guilty of scrolling too long?} Either way, having something to take your eyes off the screen and remind you why you are at your desk in the first place is always a good motivator.
If your desk, accessories, and space are already working for you, that’s great! But if not, we hope you found some inspiration in this post.
