January is always a time reserved for personal reflection and for looking forward. And it’s something we do at Miller Management as well. Our Resources, our People, and our Career opportunities are always our top viewed website pages. We also like to look at our top blog posts of the year. These are the things that clients, and non-clients alike, keep coming back to. Our most popular resources and financial advice.

How will you reflect?

As you are going about your personal and professional reflections this month, we encourage you to especially look into a few different areas. The first, of course, being your finances. This is a great time to look at your budget (both personally and the organization) and see where there may be room for some adjustments for the coming year.

For Miller Management clients, your accountant is a great resource for questions related to the topic of financial decisions. For non-clients of MM, we do offer consulting in the area of finances. If you find yourself if need of advice, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Some other areas of reflection we suggest include the following topics.

For your organization:

  1. Email – What email campaigns worked well? What can you learn from what didn’t work?
  2. Social – What social campaigns worked well? Or what can you learn from what didn’t work?
  3. Events – What events did well, or what can you learn from what didn’t work? (If you were able to do any this year.)

Personal reflection:

  1. Self-care – What did you do well for your emotional, physical, or social self this past year? And what can you learn from your experience?
  2. Office – How is your email inbox looking? Or your desk space? Is there any room for improvement in those areas?
  3. Spiritual – What goals did you have for the past year in your spiritual journey? What can you do differently for the next year?

Blessings to 2022

If you find yourself in the winning column for a lot of these topics, we’d love to hear from you and celebrate with you! Or, as we mentioned earlier, if you find yourself in need of some direction, we’d love to help be a part of that conversation.

Wishing you all a great 2022!
