2022 Year-In Review
Each January our staff takes a moment to review and reflect on the year that just finished and to look towards the year-ahead. This year we had a little different format, but with similar results. And potentially the beginnings of a new standard. If you know us, we love our standards. 🙂 {IYKYK}
A Chapel of Thanksgiving
Each month we take time we might not think we have, to gather as a whole staff for Chapel. Our talk each month is different, but the overall theme is the same. We gather together, sing praises of worship to our God, and then enjoy a message of encouragement by an area ministry leader.
This time around, we took a moment to focus on all the things we had to be thankful for from the past year. While that list was long, one of the topics that kept coming up was getting to provide a needed service to our clients.
Our Mission
Miller Management’s mission is to provide Expertise that brings Clarity to finances enabling leadership to have Confidence in their decision making.
Resources Review
Towards that end, we provide free resources and forms on our website. Always a top page according to our analytics. Some of our other top pages and blog posts include the following:
- How to Ride a Dead Horse
- Four Ds of a Quality Meeting
- Portal for Payroll
- Designated Giving vs. Restricted Giving
- Offering Counting Before the Money
Training
Another way to promote and petition for expertise is to provide training. Training to our staff through staff development on the clock; and by encouraging and creating space for staff to utilize continuing education for their field.
Another way we provide training is for our clients through intentional course topics. Sometimes we open those up to include people not on a MM service, just so they can reap the benefits as well.
Podcast
The last way we bring our expertise to the table in through our Podcast. A new endeavor for 2022, and it is continuing in 2023. A topical series of conversations with our Founder & CEO, Glenn Miller; our President, Chris Miller; and a wide variety of guests who tell their stories and share their experiences.
Some topics include:
- Balancing Faith and Stewardship
- The Discipline of Hiring in Ministry
- Accountability vs. Grace – Assessing Ministry Staff
- Leader and Staff Self-Care
- Protecting You and Your Ministry from Fraud
- Embracing the Joy of the Season
