Staff Development & Lunches
Small Group Lunches
From our Get Outdoors post, you may remember that one way the MM teams were trying to keep the community going during the past year and a half included Small Group Lunches. These optional smaller groups of people gathered outside through a randomized name drawing to help different departments socialize with those they weren’t on a Zoom call with each week.
Staff Development
We upped the ante this year and took that concept a bit further for some small groups for staff development.
In years past we’ve developed different ways to provide times of staff development for the employees of Miller Management. One of those included a book from Patrick Lencioni on the Ideal Team Player. For that event we were able to get our whole team together to talk about the concepts of Humble, Hungry, and Smart.
With the growth of MM, our indoor facility limitations, and COVID; Management decided that dividing into smaller groups would be the best way to go for this series of trainings. Plus, we get the added benefit of smaller groups to help facilitate better conversations.
One Down
So far, we’ve only got one of these under our belt in the new format. But with the feedback we received, this is sure to be a home run in the development department. But don’t worry, for those of you who love a good BTS post, I’m sure we will be pack to share more details.
Your Team’s Development
How about your staff development? Do you take the time to prioritize molding leaders and better employees? Or do you feel the need, but don’t have the time or energy or resources?
While we hope that is NOT the case, if you feel in over your head, Miller Management provides training in a variety of topics. One more way we partner with you to help you achieve your mission.
