Payroll Request to Payroll Check
Miller Management gets the most requests for our Accounting & Payroll Services. And we totally get it – being responsible for payroll checks and payroll taxes can be a daunting task. In today’s installment of our Summer Road Trip Series, we will walk you through the payroll check process.
If you missed the start of the Road Trip, start with How a Check Request Becomes a Check; we’ll wait.
Now, let’s put on some road-trip tunes…
After you have completed the steps to setting up your employees by gathering the correct information, determining the frequency of pay, and following federal wage and hour laws; you are ready to run your first payroll.
Payroll Checks
Your organization is provided a vehicle for providing the hours or salaried employee’s information. Through our payroll system, we deliver back either live paychecks or the payroll reports are uploaded into our secure portal of the direct deposit information.
Payroll Taxes
We also take the guess-work out of Payroll Taxes. The MM Payroll Team takes care of all tax payments and filings. Copies are always provided for our clients reference.
Okay, who is already ready to sign on the dotted line?
Is that Really all it is?
While that process may seem quite basic, Payroll can actually be a tricky subject to master. Who should receive a 1099 and who should receive a W-2? And what are those forms even used for? Also, does a church have to have a 501c3?
Those are the questions that Miller Management can help you with. (And many more.)
With churches and nonprofits, there are even more nuances that come with Clergy, Missionaries, Volunteers, and Benevolence; just to name a few factors. We don’t have time to tackle all those questions on this trip, but we do encourage you to check out our Payroll 101: Starting Payroll in Your Church Plant post for answers to many frequently asked payroll questions.
