Morning Routines to Create Success
Do you already have a morning routine that works for you? Or is this a goal you are working towards? Especially with school back in session, a morning routine can be quite helpful. How you start your day not only sets the tone for the rest of the day, but it also impacts those around us. Our families, our co-workers, and our staff. Then the pattern continues – those people go and influence others.
To help us all get back in the groove, we’ve rounded up some advice from others regarding their morning routines.
Some things most articles we found had in common include the following:
- Start your morning Early. Before the others in your house get up. Maybe even before the sun?
- Start your morning With Things you Love. This doesn’t mean social media or email. This means a devotional, journaling, music, something positive/encouraging – it sets the tone for your day.
- Start your morning With Fluids – preferably water. Getting water in you before that cup of coffee is better for your body and can actually wake you up more.
- Start your morning with Eating a Healthy Breakfast. We all know we should be, so let’s start doing it.
- Start your morning by Moving. This one will look different for everyone. Maybe it’s a run, jog, or walk. Maybe it’s stretching. Maybe it’s a few in-home exercises. Just try something and build from there. You might surprise yourself.
- Take the time to Prepare the Night Before. Your morning self will thank you!
