King of My Heart
March’s speaker (view the start of our Chapel series here) had an encouraging message regarding wisdom for our staff this month. Knowing we need wisdom, asking for it, and hiding it in our heart. Wisdom begins with choosing fear (reverence) and going confidently before the throne of grace; knowing we will be met with perfect love that casts out all fear.
Does our fear of man (our insecurities) ring louder than our confidence of God (that he will meet us with his goodness)? He can take away your fear of man, your fear of insecurities; and replace it with his glory.
Let’s look at some examples from the Bible shall we?
When Moses met with God in Exodus 3:10 – God Called him forward.
Adam found himself vulnerable in front of God in Genesis 3:21 – and God Covered him.
When Abram looked to God in Genesis 12:1 – God Blessed him beyond measure.
And when Job cried out to God in Job 38:1 – God Answered.
We’ll leave you with the beginning lyrics from King of My Heart by Bethel Music
Let the King of my heart
Be the mountain where I run
The fountain I drink from
Oh, He is my song
Let the King of my heart
Be the shadow where I hide
The ransom for my life
Oh, He is my song
