Joy in the Spirit
Our April chapel speaker had an encouraging message regarding humor and the Christian Life. My key take-away from the morning was when she said as Christians we were baptized in water, not pickle juice – so we should be recognized as joyful believers. 
Let’s look at an example from the Bible shall we?
In Matthew 5, Jesus talks about being the salt of the earth and the light of the world. The salt is essential for life, it brings out the best in something else, and preserves or enhances other foods.
But we need to be careful with our saltiness and use it to laugh with people, not at people.
Find the Joy
So, who do you know who brings out the Joy in your life? Are they also holy people?
Our speaker challenged us to find some time soon to get with that person and soak up that part of the Fruit of the Spirit. It will probably do your soul some good, and I’ll bet there will be some heavenly voices delighting along with you.
