2026 Serve Days

Once a year we don our Miller blue t-shirts and head out into the wild. This time, not looking to correct 1099 violations. Or fix housing allowance budgets. Not even to dig through your financials for an audit. Or provide stellar training to our newbies.

No, these trips are all about the sweat, the sore muscles, and fun memories.

It’s our annual serve days!

This year, we got the opportunity to work with a church in Springfield who was hit by storms last year and is working on cleaning and getting back on their feet. Our ladies were happy to lend a helping hand by cleaning up some frequently used spaces for our friends at FBC Brookline.

The following week, our Kansas City office team partnered with Rebuilding Together KC for their first big project of the year. Clearing away the overgrowth, sticks, and trash from a home that is not able to accomplish these tasks on their own.

While the before and after’s were quiet impressive, if I do say so myself, the best part is hearing about what these ministries are doing in their daily work. How they are touching lives in their communities and providing safe conditions for the elderly or those in need. Or by providing a spiritual home to those who may not get that anywhere else.

Switching Roles

While we are busy behind computers, email, and excel; these are the people who spend their days out in the wild of humanity each week. We are humbled to be able to walk in their shoes for a few hours one afternoon.

This is just one of the reasons why we partner with churches and non-profits to provide administrative resources. So they can focus on their mission.

If you want to see other times we switched roles with our clients for an afternoon, you can visit our other serve day posts.

“Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good… For the body does not consist of one member but of many… Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? Do all possess gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? But earnestly desire the higher gifts. And I will show you a still more excellent way.” – 1 Corinthians 12: 4-7,14, 29-31
