Locked Doors
If you’ve been around for awhile, you know the drill with our Chapels. For those who are new, you can start here with the why behind having these each month.
Our April speaker had the opportunity to revisit the Easter story.
We started in the middle of the story. The disciples were behind locked doors. Our speaker came out strong by posing the question of, “What are your current locked doors? Anxiety? Fears? Doubts?”
In the midst of the disciples fears, Jesus shows up and declares, “Peace be with you.” – John 20:19
Whatever your locked doors are – Jesus will meet you in the midst of them. And not only does he show up, but he starts with relationship. He offers comfort and a commission. A unique and defined purpose just for you, said our speaker.
The overarching purpose for the church as a whole – and we get to be a part of it – “As the father has sent me, even so I am sending you.” – John 20:21

Our key takeaway this month: Jesus is not disappointed in your doubt. He steps into it. So honestly bring those doubts to the Lord. He already knows them. He can walk right through your locked doors, so why not open the door to him. As He is the only one who can handle them anyway. Happy Eastertide, friends!
