This $25 one hour training will be on Thursday, November 7th at 2:00 pm. Jennifer Ross, VP at Miller Management will be our presenter. Registration is required to attend this course. This is one of our most popular classes because every ministry needs a counting system that is organized and accountable.
This course will provide a roadmap to setting up an effective and efficient counting system complete with procedures, forms, and all the necessary components needed to be successful. We will walk you through job descriptions for your volunteers all the way through the counting process itself. We also provide the IRS guidelines your ministry needs to comply with when receiving and recording money appropriately and legally.
This free (with promo code) training will be held on Monday, November 11th, 2024, from 2:00 – 2:30 pm central time. Miller Management’s Jaelyn Shaw will be our facilitator.
This course serves to provide a refresher of the basic QuickBooks Online processes and will go over topics such as organizing your dashboard, setting up recurring payments, and differentiating between 1099 and reimbursement vendors in QBO.
This $25 course will take place on Tuesday, October 8th from 2:00 – 3:00 pm CST. This course will be taught by Dr. Jeff Klick, a seasoned minister since 1981 and senior pastor at Hope Family Fellowship. He brings over four decades of experience to this online training course. With a passion for learning and a commitment to excellence, Dr. Klick holds professional designations including CFP (Certified Financial Planner) and advanced degrees in Pastoral Ministry and Biblical Studies. He is also a consultant with The Institute for Church Management and a board member of The Council for Gospel Legacy Churches.
Throughout the course, participants will gain invaluable insights into ministerial taxes, covering essential topics such as Housing Allowance, Dual Status Filing, Ministerial Salaries, and more. Dr. Klick’s goal is to equip ministry professionals with the legal knowledge and beneficial tools necessary to navigate these often murky waters with confidence and succeed in their financial stewardship endeavors.
This one hour course taught by Chris Miller is now available to register. Join us online on Tuesday, April 16th at 2:00 pm CST. How to Read and Understand Your Financial Statements is a free course for current Miller Management clients, but registration is still required.
Having accurate and timely financial statements is essential for every ministry. How to read and understand those statements is just as important. This 60 minute course will walk you through the bases of accounting, the three financial statements your ministry needs to have and understand, and then you will learn about how to utilize that information to help our ministry make informed decisions.
This one hour course taught by Chris Miller and Jennifer Ross is open to register. Join us online on Thursday, April 11th at 2:00 pm CST. Fireproof Your Ministry is open to the public and is only $25 per attendee. A fireproof assessment will be distributed before the event begins, so make sure to register early.
There are three states of fire-resistance to fraud in your ministry. During this course we will walk you through those stages and you will take the assessment to find out where your ministry current lands. Other topics include what to do when fire breaks out and barriers to overcome via The Fraud Triangle.
Miller Management’s own TJ Persell will be the facilitator for this course on Accounting CS. This free client training will be 30 minutes on Tuesday, June 25th, at 2:00pm. You still need to register to be sent the course information.
Unlock the power of financial insights with our training course on navigating read-only access to the accounting software. Please note, this is an optional add-on Miller Management service, beyond our basic accounting package. In just 30 minutes, we’ll review the ins and outs of online access in an effort to equip you to: navigate real-time activity in expense accounts, review restricted account balances, manage vendor records effectively, and more. After this course, you will have the tools to interpret your ministry’s financial data with accuracy.
This free 30 minute client training, taught by Chris Miller, will happen on Wednesday, June 26th. Registration is still required for this free training.
Each week, Miller Management Level 2 clients are provided a weekly dashboard report. This report is designed to give a snapshot of the organization’s financial activity. In this webinar we will review the weekly dashboard, what each part of the dashboard reports on, and ways for leadership to use the dashboard. At the end of the session we’ll have time for Q&A.
