2024 Company Picnic

In mid-October we celebrated 35 years of business at our Company Picnic. While you’d think this month would bring cold weather in Kansas City, it didn’t. While you’d think bounce houses and payroll team members wouldn’t get along, they did. And while you’d think we would skip the hayrides and smore’s over the bonfire in the unseasonably warm weather, we didn’t.

While it wasn’t as scary as the last picnic we hosted. It might have been close. Bouncy kids. Scavenger hunts in the woods. Hayrides. Food truck for dinner. And pictures. Again! What is with this team?

No, warm weather, getting lost in the woods, and too much food wasn’t going to stop us from celebrating this milestone in our company. We were also able to surprise our owner/founder, Kim Miller, with a special book of photos over the years. With signed messages from our team.

We are grateful to be able to talk about our success over the years and know that it’s all because a few churches took a chance on this husband-and-wife team back in 1989. For the early hours, long nights, and early work that Kim put into this company – we are so incredibly appreciative. Also, all of us at Miller Management are incredibly grateful; for those clients that started from the beginning (you know who you are) through those that signed a contract last week.

Our team seems to get better each year somehow and we get to partner with some amazing ministries. We couldn’t be happier. So, thanks to you for 35 years of partnership, and here’s to 35 more!

Thanks to Rachael Toney for capturing some great photos of our whole team, our departments, and the amazing family photos and candid shots she captured!

She hasn’t changed much in the two years since her last picnic post. For that we apologize. But don’t worry, she doesn’t do your financials either.
